Boomerang bags are coming

More and more you will hear the term "Boomerang Bags" as an alternate to single use plastic bags.

As yet we don't have the Boomerang Bag project in the Eurobodalla

In the meantime we do have a strong interest in the boomerang bag idea in Narooma with a lady who is on a mission to banish plastic bags from local supermarkets.

She’s already gathered herself quite a band of sewers making carry bags. Once they have the numbers they will hand them out. If someone comes out with 15 plastic bags of goods, she’s going to give them 15 bags.

If you know of any other "boomerang bag" initiatives in the Shire please add them below.

Above: Boomerang Bags presents the Bag Monster in an initative to promote the use of reusable bags, reducing plastics and fostering sustainable behaviour among local communities. For more information about the initiative, and to get involved visit www.boomerangbags.org or find us at www.facebook.com/boomerangbags.
