Boat Fire at Preddy's Wharf Moruya

Station 384 Moruya - FRNSW attended a boat fire this morning at 6:40am adjacent to Preddy's Wharf, Moruya.

The fire was fuelled by 80 litres of petrol. The fire was swiftly and effectively extinguished using foam and dry powder extinguisher. P384, 384S and SES Moruya also attended the fire and a kind member of the public assisted in towing the boat to the boat ramp.

The site was quickly cleaned up with pollution traps rolled out and set in place to ensure there is minimal effect on our wonderful river.

Well done to all who attended. Photos above by Station 384 Moruya The NSW SES Moruya Unit also requested the SES Batemans Bay Unit assistance at Preddey's Wharf. When the SES volunteers arrived on scene they were presented with a boat that had experienced a fire. General assistance was provided. Photos from the SES Batemans Bay unit below.
