Eurobodalla Hockey players attend World Masters and bring home silver

Recently two local Eurobodalla Hockey Association players attended the World Masters in New Zealand. Gail Brown and Theresa Pot were part of a medal winning team.

Their first game was against NZ where the score was 3-nil to NZ. Game 2 was against a Sydney team – Age of Perfection – and it was a nil-all draw. The team were then successful against Victoria Gold winning 2-nil. Game 4 saw them lose 2-nil to Peninsula Power. In the finals they played with only 11 players, (one player broke her cheekbone after the ball ran up her stick). They then played Victoria Gold again where they came out the winners 3-nil and took home the Silver medal.

Congratulations to both players. How great to see our local competition represented at such a level.

Both Theresa (L) and Gail (R) play for Wanderers in the local Moruya competition
