Ban the single use bag - where do you stand

Eurobodalla Councillor Anthony Mayne feels that it might be time for Eurobodalla Shire Council to advocate for a ban on single use plastic bags and is asking members of the Community Voice Eurobodalla what they think. Anthony advises "There are more than four billion in Australia each year or 10,000,000 per day! The costs to clean up is $4mill per year in Oz alone." "Riding past Waldon Swamp on George Bass Drive on Monday I came across a few bags yesterday. Bags had begun to break down already." "Good on: Narooma Mitre 10 , Malua Bay IGA plus Liquor , SAGE Farmers Market Moruya Moruya Books Aldi Tilba Village & Mogo village for going plastic bag free" "Good on the efforts by our Shire Council for their work to reduce plastics. Lets protect our #Unspolit #Nature #Coast on Eurobodalla - South Coast NSW & reduce rubbish on land and in the water so all can enjoy" Anthony added "Love the Broulee Public School focus creating a 'veggie bag' program using upcycled cloth bags. Pop a cloth bag in your car."
