Introduction to Life Drawing - Downward Dog

Take a short 2-hour introduction life drawing workshop with Lois Selby at Downward Dog Cafe, Bodalla. Tuesday 11th of April 10am - 12pm Cost: $25 Working with a live dressed model, learn how to mark-make, draw fast, add shadows and highlights and other tips and tricks and have fun on the way. The workshop will be held in a private room in a relaxed café setting.

Bring your own materials including: paper, watercolour pencils, lead pencils, erasers, water bottle, empty cup, crayons, charcoal, oil sticks, pastel sticks, chalk etc. and a sense of fun. Bring a small easel if you have one (but it's not mandatory). No acrylics, oils or watercolours please. Limited arts materials will be available on the day for you to purchase at a small additional cost.

Trained as a ceramic artist at the Australian National University Institute of the Arts, in the past decade or so Lois has bunny-hopped across Australia several times. Lois became aware (very quickly!) it’s difficult to bunny-hop with a large kiln strapped to her back. To maintain a creative practice she turned her eye and hand to other materials and currently works with a range of materials including silk, canvas, up-cycled wood, old metal, wool, paraphernalia and found objects. (Minimum of 5 people required (10 max) - If minimum participant numbers are not met, workshop will not proceed)Bookings essential

Phone the cafe to reserve your place, and for after-class bookings on 4473 5583
