Bombala had the upper hand at Mackay Park today

Another glorious day on the south coast for league. Bombala mens and womens teams were the visitors and they played well to go home victorious having had an enjoyable day on the coast. Even though the Batemans Bay’s women’s league tag team lost to Bombala High Heelers 28-0 there remained a good comraderie in the Bay team with an understanding that Bombala were just the better team on the day. At half time the score was 16-0 and while the second half offered no improvement to the score for the Tigers the girls played on and took the loss in their stride as a good learning game for the season ahead. Credit goes to the Bombala team who played a solid game.

The Bay Tigers men also had a tough time of it at Mackay Park today against the solid pack presented by Bombala with a final score of 32-18. The Tigers did however offer thrill to the game taking the lead up to the second half, only to lose the edge with a sucessive comeback by the Blue Heelers to seal the win.
