Operation Chrome is a Southern Region Operation by NSW Police Force targeting driving behaviour that impacts on road and community safety.
Operation CHROME works in conjunction with the current ‘Towards Zero’ campaign by NSW Transport.
Operation CHROME will be conducted on 31 March to 1 April 2017 in the Far South Coast Local Area Command. This is the first in a series of campaigns throughout the year.
It will target drug and alcohol impaired drivers and traffic enforcement in school zones and back roads.
Random drug and alcohol testing will be conducted at stationary sites as well as mobile patrol vehicles.
The aim is to educate and enforce traffic rules to reduce road trauma across our local communities. Source
