Join the U3A on a bus trip to "Versailles"


Bus Trip to “Versailles –Treasures from the Palace” Exhibition at NGA, Friday 31 March 2017

“This sumptuous exhibition is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see and experience for the very first time in Australia, a mesmerising period in French history. The treasures will travel from France to entice visitors into the world of power, passion and luxury through this epic exhibition,” writes Dr Gerard Vaughan, NGA Director.

In addition, for those going on the bus trip, the History Forum has arranged a Special Session on Versailles on Tuesday 28 March featuring the broad historical context, and an outline of how Louis XIV brought the secret of porcelain to Europe together with research in to the unusual female artist who was Marie Antoinette’s main portrait painter.

Presenters include Penny Bonnell, Margaret Barlow and Gail Vincent.
