NOTICE TO ORTHOPEADIC WAITLIST PATIENTS The Southern NSW Local Health District understands the concerns of the Bega Valley community around the recent media attention on orthopaedic surgery at South East Regional Hospital. The management of the Health District, including the Bega Valley Health Service, want to reassure all patients on the orthopaedic waitlist for the month of March they will be contacted by phone, or the preferred contact method on their admission forms, over the next few days Bega Valley Health Service has secured the services of a highly qualified orthopaedic surgeon from Sydney, who will take up tenure at South East Regional Hospital on 8 March. We are committed to continuing to provide locum cover for the next few weeks to ensure that all patients are operated on within clinical priority timeframes.
