Want to contribute to your community?

Nominations are open for members to the Dargues Gold Mine Community Consultative Committee.

The Mine is located at Majors Creek in southern NSW, about 13km south of Braidwood. The project received approval from NSW authorities in 2016 and is currently awaiting Commonwealth approval.

The Community Consultative Committee provides a forum for open dialogue between the proponent and representatives of the local community, stakeholder groups and local councils on issues directly relating to the project.

You will be expected to contribute constructively to committee discussions, attend around four meetings a year, and communicate information about the Mine between the committee and the broader community.

For more information and a nomination form, contact Hannah Bubb on 02 9387 2600 or

Applications must be lodged by 24 March and sent to the independent chairperson of the CCC, Brian Elton at or PO Box 1488, Bondi Junction 1355.
