Narooma Australia Day celebrations


Join us for an Aussie BBQ to celebrate on 26 January Narooma will again by hosting a local Australia Day BBQ Breakfast on the Beach and ceremony on 26 January at Narooma Surf Club. It’s a celebration of what great about Australia and celebrates some of the local achievements in the community as well as a chance to relax and enjoy a BBQ breakfast on the beach front. Everyone is invited to come along and join the fun! The event is on regardless of the weather, as the Club House is available for the breakfast and ceremony. The breakfast kicks off at 8 am and is proudly hosted by Narooma Surf Club, Narooma & District LIONS Club and the Dalmeny Deviates. The Flag raising and Award ceremony starts at 10 am and will be held on the beach reserve next to the SLSC Club House. Quota will be again looking for the best Australian outfits on the day, so dress up in your best Aussie outfits kids! This year there are a record number of nominations up for awards including Event of the Year, Community Group of the Year, Local Sporting Hero and Local Heroes, Senior and Young Local Heroes. The Committee and judges would like to thank all those who took the time to nominate a person, event or group for this event.
