By offering free local, national and mobile calls from Telstra payphones, Telstra hopes more Australians can get in touch with their loved ones this Christmas. The telco is offering free calls on its payphones between December 24 (Christmas Eve) and 28 December. You can find a Telstra payphone near you with this handy locator site. Please pass this information on to somebody who doesn't have a phone to use this Christmas or might be doing it hard. Things you need to know Restricted to local calls, national calls to standard fixed lines and calls to standard Australian mobiles on Telstra-branded payphones. National calls to standard fixed line numbers excludes some usage such as calls to premium numbers (eg 19xx numbers), 1234 and 12456 numbers. Satellite numbers are not standard mobiles.
