Dear Editor I would like to extend my CONGRATULATIONS to Bill & Edna Blayden whom tomorrow, 6th Dec, marks their sixty ninth wedding anniversary. Both served in the Australian Air Force in WWII and met when Dad's sister who worked with Mum asked her to go with her and meet the troops ship Dad was on when returning from Japan after the war. Dad was offered an apprenticeship in Horticulture in Canberra and he remained with the same employer for 43 years until he retired. CONGRATULATIONS MUM AND DAD.
