On 1 December 2016 Telstra will shut down their 2G mobile network meaning thousands of people across the country will need to update their mobile phones or sim cards to access the faster 3G/4G network. If you have a 2G phone or have a relative that is still using the 2G network it might pay to upgrade before Dec 1st.
