Remembrance Day special podcast by ABC South East

Hear the story of how Bega Vietnam veteran Frank Hunt became one of the pivotal characters in Redgum's song I Was Only 19. Frank was badly injured in the land mine incident recounted in the song, and agreed for his name to be used in the hope that it would help other veterans to reconcile their experiences.

ABC South East Radio be playing an extract of the story on Remembrance Day 11/11/2016 after the 10am news, however you can listen to it in full here

Story by Mike Williams for the new ABC podcast THE REAL THING. Thanks to ABC South East for sharing this story on their ABC South East NSW Facebook page
