A large group of Congo and Bingie residents gathered at the site of recent clearing along Congo Road. Eurobodalla Shire Council is undertaking the clearing to allow a proposed speed limit of 100kph over the reconstructed section.

The considerable tree clearing has seen the original canopy compromised and the locals attending the meeting all consider that the extent of the clearing has been unnecessary.
