Have you been out to the new One Tree Point viewing platform? After 20 years Tom has finally made it. The upgraded platform now has disabled access and for the first time in twenty years of being a Tuross Head resident Tom has been able to enjoy this magical amenity the more abled bodied in the town have long had access to. Thanks have to go to Stafford Dixon who has lobbied for years to have disabled access to the point. It was Stafford who also drove the campaign to buy a beach wheel chair for our disabled visitors long before Council began to provide chairs to other beaches and it was Stafford who made available on loan wheelchairs and walking frames to those who might enjoy a stroll on our cycleway. So often the quiet achievers are forgotten but Tom won’t forget the first day he motored out to the point. Thank you for your continued efforts over all these years Stafford Dixon. You finally saw this access come to be.
