In New South Wales, riders need to do a two-day pre-learner’s training course to get their motorcycle learners’ license. However, with the closest training centre for the course in Queanbeyan, Eurobodalla riders are at a disadvantage.
“Because of where we live our riders are exempt from the course, as a result they are missing out on an opportunity to get the best possible start to life on a bike,” Ms McDougall said.
To fill this skills and knowledge gap, she says Council are offering two one-day training courses with an accredited motorcycle trainer from Stay Upright Queanbeyan.
Ms McDougall is calling on learners, provisional riders, and riders who want to get back on the bike so they can enjoy their riding experience, to contacting her on 4474 1353.
The one-day courses are offered at reduced rates and contain both theory and practical content. Session details
When Saturday 5 November, 9am to 4pm
Sunday 6 November, 9am to 4pm
Where: Both sessions will be held in the carpark behind the Eurobodalla Council Chambers on Murray Street, Moruya.
Cost $100
