A Variety Night for Brian at the Murrah Hall July 20th
Bermagui-based musician and father, Brian Boulter, was admitted to hospital in August 2018, diagnosed with melanoma. Due to further complications Brian has recently developed leptomeningeal disease, a rare complication of cancer which is untreatable. Fiona Kotvojs concedes defeat
ABC South East reported this afternoon that after weeks of counting, the Liberal candidate for Eden Monaro has conceded defeat.
The report said "Fiona Kotvojs has congratulated Labor's Mike Kelly on retaining the seat, and thanked all those involved in her campaign. Batemans Bay listed in top 20 as a hotspot for illegally harvested fish and shellfish
Following a focus on prohibited size fish offences across NSW since March 2018, NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) Fisheries officers have seized 5,379 illegally harvested fish and shellfish during a state-wide operation called ‘Operation Small Fry’.

Swift: Labor forest policy more threat than promise
In a media release issued this week Harriett Swift, Deputy Convener of the South East Region Conservation Alliance (SERCA) says "The Labor policy statement on forests, released today (Wednesday 1 May 2019) is a total sell out to its industry and union backers".

Changed Traffic Conditions On The Princes Highway From North Of Batemans Bay To Pambula
Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Princes Highway from next week for routine vegetation removal.
Work will take place at 17 separate locations for up to five days at each site between north of Batemans Bay and Pambula. The routine vegetation removal is key in maintaining the road corridor and provides a clear line of sight for motorists. Changed Traffic Conditions On Princes Highway At Dignams Creek
Motorists are advised of extended work hours on the Princes Highway at Dignams Creek on Saturday to continue asphalting work as part of the $45 million upgrade. The southbound lane one kilometre north of Dignams Creek Road will be closed for 500 metres while the road base is replaced and surface resealed.
