Further to Nelligen Progress Association posts of 5 Aug 2016/ 28 Sep 2017, Eurobodalla Shire Council have forwarded an open letter 16 Nov to Nelligen residents advising (in part) "Over the coming weeks, staff from Council's consultants will be undertaking survey and geotechnical investigations to inform the design of the Nelligen Water Supply and Sewerage schemes." This informative letter advises the reasons why the preliminary studies are required now. The process will involve detailed discussions with individual property owners. Key issues for residents to consider should include: •Sewerage - Village immediate proximity to the pristine Clyde River and potential for environmental impact (from existing private systems) on aquaculture and recreational use. •Water Security - Guarantee of future supply under all conditions.
