South Coast/Monaro team vs Southern Inland Rugby for the Brumbies Provincial Trophy this weekend

This weekend will see a representative game held between a combined South Coast and Monaro team, versus Southern Inland Rugby for the Brumbies Provincial Trophy. This is on the back of a game on the 28th May between South Coast and Monaro in which South Coast won 31 to 7. This is a big effort considering South Coast has only 3 clubs to select from, whereas Monaro has 10. 7 Batemans Bay Boars players were represented being Jim Roberts, James Bell, Lindsay King-Gee, Jack Lavis, Chris Smithers, Andrew Fleming, Max Harrison, Sean Smith and myself (Matt Ryan) as Coach.

From this the following were selected in the combined team – Jim Roberts, James Bell, Andrew Fleming and Sean Smith, myself as Coach, and ex Broulee/current Bungendore player Tom Bollard.

Game details as follows:

  • Saturday 10th of June (this weekend) @ ANU North Oval, Turner. Kick-off is at 1pm

The Brumbies Provincial Team will selected from this to play the NSW Country Cockatoos the following week, announced post game.
