Far South Coast Police report


BATEMANS BAY About 9.20am Monday 10 April 2017, a Honda was stopped by Highway patrol police on Tallgums Way, Surf Beach for the purpose of a random breath and drug test. The 48 year old driver was tested with a negative result for alcohol. An oral fluid test proved postive for cannabis. The driver was arrested and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station for secondary testing. Further laboratory testing will be conducted before determining legal action for driving with illicit drug present. NAROOMA Around 11:38pm Monday 10 April 2017, emergency services were called to a boat on fire in a carpark of a residential block of units in Tilba Street, Narooma. Police and NSW Fire and Rescue responded with the boat well alight. Damage was caused to the units. The fire was extinguished with boat destroyed. A crime scene was established and police are conducting forensic investigations. WATCH OUT FOR THIEVES Following reports to Police of thefts in the carparks and caravan parks they appeal to the public to lock up their valuables, especially over this long weekend
