BATEMANS BAY

About 11.30pm on the 25 March 2017, police stopped a motor vehicle travelling east on Beach Road, Batemans Bay for a random breath test.

The 24 year old driver from Phillip in the ACT was arrested after a positive reading for alcohol.

He was taken to Batemans Bay Police Station and underwent a BAS.

He was subsequently charged with Low range PCA. He will appear at Batemans Bay Local Court.

BATEMANS BAY

At 11:45pm on Saturday 25 March, 2017, police were conducting mobile patrols of Batemans Bay.

Police observed a motor vehicle drive through a red traffic light on the corner of Beach Road and Vesper Street Batemans Bay.

The vehicle then travelled north on the Princes Highway and moved onto the incorrect side of the road before turning into Wharf Road upon Vesper Street Batemans Bay.

Police caught up with vehicle and stopped it in Wharf Road, Surfside.

Police arrested the 35 year old female driver at the scene after a positive reading for alcohol. She was taken to Batemans Bay Police Station. After a secondary test she was charged with High range PCA and her licence was suspended.

She was charged and will appear at Batemans Bay Local Court. Source
