Congratulations to Constance for State highway fundings

Dear Sir/Madame,

Irrespective of political persuasions which may be help by your readers, I congratulate Andrew Constance for the great job he has done in obtaining large grants which have been allocated to road infrastructure in our area. The works on the Kings Hwy and the Princes Hwy will save lives.

As a coroner back in the 1970s, I was kept busy with Inquests as a result of road accidents. In those days, our highways were described by many as nothing more than goat tracks, and were a major contributing factor in the number of unnecessary deaths.

Residents only have to drive to Canberra or to Sydney to witness the extent of the road improvements currently underway. Andrew has done exceedingly well to have so many major projects underway in our area.

Andrew opponents may argue that he is riding on the back of tremendously high revenue income from stamp duty as a result of the Sydney property boom, but he has successfully achieved a priority of so many local projects.

As a result of his efforts, our roads will be much safer.

Joe Smith
