Today we played the first round of the annual foursomes championships, kindly sponsored by Vets Golf.
A slight hitch to the day was a short delay for President Elsa’s team while giving way to a black snake crossing the fairway on the 18th.
Although not participating in the championships, Teri Swanbury and Marilyn Bingham won the day with a net score of 75 points.
The runners up with a net score of 77 points were Cathy Milliken and Wendy Schmid.
Leaders after Round 1 are Jane Eglitis and Pam Alexander with a net score of 77.50 and gross leaders are Dorothy Madden and Leonie Snodgrass.
Nearest the pin on the 15th was Gail Page and on the 6th Teri Swanbury. Golden Hole winners were Leonie Snodgrass and Kerrie Sands.
Balls went to Jane Eglitis, Pam Alexander, Annette Manton, Gail Page, Leonie Snodgrass, Dorothy Madden, Chris Wratten and Pauline Nash.
