Tomakin Twist Tops Bowls Report

There were 24 Twisties on the green last Sunday bowling in six games of Pairs President Steven Hogan welcomed everyone, then encouraged all to see our weekly reports on Beagle Weekly , also Saturday morning at 8.30am on 2 EAR fm Community Radio, both very much appreciated. Well done to Anthony Robinson who is doing a fantastic job as Welfare Officer, reporting that Reion James is doing well after his recent Heart surgery. Welcome to Ian Taylor from Club Yowani in Canberra who joined us for the morning which he enjoyed. Steven announced there will be a barbecue breakfast on Sunday 23rd January. Winners were those with Lowest Losing Margin, there were two teams on -4, 15/19, Peter Crowe and Steven Hogan, Margaret Carney and Michael Voce sharing a half game each with Patrick Wheelahan as Skip. Patrick selected Rink 9 to try for Jackpot with Skip Mark Toyer cutting cards, but no luck this week. Other winning teams , Ross Miller and Karen Signor . Ruth Ebsworth with Barrie Stone and Tony Birmingham sharing a half game. Robyn Best with Val and Mark Toyer. Janet Smith and Karen James. Ute Krook and Ian Taylor. John Signor and Dick Morley. Lucky number winners , 6 , Ross Miller, 2 Janet Smith. After bowls Twisties enjoyed a Presentation to Faye Connor who has recently retired from her position as President of Directors at Club Tomakin. Newly elected President Terry Montgomerie thanked Faye for the wonderful job she has done over many years on the Board of Directors. Faye thanked everyone as she was presented with a framed picture painted by a local artist. The painting portrays a place close to Faye's heart where she spent many wonderful years on holidays at Bulgo Beach, near Otford in the Royal National Park. The men and women bowlers as well as Twist Tops also made Presentations to Faye.
