Our morning started off last Sunday with the inaugural John " Boothy" Booth Memorial Shield Challenge . This event will be bowled each year on Australia Day weekend, all taking part will bowl corner to corner.
The winner this year was our President Steven Hogan, the Trophy will be presented to him next Sunday by a member of the Booth family. Steven welcomed everyone, reporting that Flo is now in hospital in Canberra so all thinking of her.
Congratulations were extended to Brian Wheeler on his nomination for the Order of Australia Medal .Winners were those with Lowest Losing Margin - 5 , Joan Colefax and Anthony Robinson .
Runners -up, Margaret Carney and Jeanne Burggraaf.Robbo selected Rink 10 to try for Jackpot, losing Skip Karen Signor cut the cards but came up with 5 of Spades and no Joker!!
