The Wagonga Inlet Living Shoreline (WILS) project

Learn about how you can get involved in the new Wagonga Inlet Living Shoreline project this Sunday Jun 26! NSW DPI Fisheries Oyster Reef Restoration Team invites you to a Meet and Greet at the new Oyster Reef in Wagonga Inlet, Narooma. Please join us to learn about the landmark collaborative Wagonga Inlet Living Shoreline (WILS) project and how you can become a citizen scientist! Meet at 11:00AM for a ‘walk and talk’ tour of WILS Stage 1 oyster reef restoration hosted by our local Fisheries Manager and DPI Scientist. Greet Nature Coast Marine Group and OzFish Unlimited, who will be co‐leading an exciting new citizen science project to help monitor the growth and recruitment of the oysters on our reef. Lunch will be provided. The event concludes at 1:30PM. Please RSVP by 23 June to Jillian Keating - 0427 129 506 or jillian.keating@dpi.nsw.gov.au indicating any dietary requirements. Bring sun/wet weather protection and covered Shoes.
