South Coast History Day 2023 - Batemans Bay

Discover things you never previously knew about the south coast’s amazing history and how the region has helped shaped the nation’s history. A collaboration between the South Coast History Society, Clyde River & Batemans Bay Historical Society, and Moruya & District Historical Society, this celebration brings together a day of impressive speakers including the Director of the National Museum of Australia and the Archivist for the Canberra-Goulburn Catholic Archdiocese. Other speakers include specialists in the history of:

  • whaling on the south coast

  • Indigenous relations

  • Batemans Bay timber industry

  • the challenges of travelling to the south coast

  • heritage listings in the Eurobodalla.

Where: Batemans Bay Soldiers Club, 6 Beach Road When: Saturday 25 March 2023, 10am to 5pm Cost: $30 non-members, $25 members Entry fee includes morning and afternoon tea. Lunch is available for attendees in the Vue180 restaurant from under $10. Bookings essential: T: 0448 160 852
