St Bernard’s at Batehaven is pleased to be hosting an afternoon of Christian sacred music.
O VIRGO SPLENDENS will be a concert celebrating music from the Marian tradition including the earliest medieval chants to settings from classical and contemporary composers. Late medieval songs from the 14 th century manuscript Llibre Vermell de Montserrat, Brahms and contemporary Marian music will be featured in the programme.
Lady’s Mantle is a Canberra-based women’s vocal ensemble of 7 to 10 experienced singers under the direction of Maia Harrison. They perform regularly at venues around Canberra including the National Gallery and the High Court.
The concert will be held at 2pm at the St Bernard’s Church on Sunday 6 th October. Entry is by donation.
