Next EuroSCUG Wednesday 2nd November

The EuroSCUG (Eurobodalla Seniors Computer Users Group) meeting is on again this Wednesday from 10 am to 12pm at Moruya Golf Club. This month's theme is: What to do on rainy days!

This month we will just be having fun on our devices, including Wordle, Sudoku, Brain teasers, eBooks, jigsaws, and you will even be able to compose a group opera! At its last meeting on Wednesday 5th October, EuroSCUG welcomed Rebecca Shepheard. Rebecca is the Principle and Licensee in Charge of First National Real Estate Batemans Bay. Bec has been involved in the Real Estate arena since 2000, so has seen a lot of changes during the intervening years. She spoke about some of those changes including the digital aspects of Real Estate, how the digital world has affected Real Estate and finally the changes she has seen over her time in the business.

Following morning tea there were several small group sessions. There was a demonstration of some “live” scams. Very important with where the world is at the moment. A demonstration on how to use Microsoft Lens for copying and storing documents. As usual, there was the help desk for all things PC and a beginners group which will include a Q & A/help session.

EuroSCUG has been helping seniors in the Eurobodalla Shire to master technology since 2008.

We meet at the Moruya Golf Club at 10am on the first Wednesday of each month, and Local Area Group meet regularly in Tuross.

Hands on phone and tablet groups, both Apple and Android, are held on the first Friday of each month from 9.30 – 11.30am at the Moruya Golf Club. EuroSCUG has partnered with Tec Exec, under the auspice of the Be Connected program to run a phone and tablet group each Friday until the end of the year. These sessions are for the general public as well as EuroSCUG members.

Details of all group meeting times can be found on our website. Visitors are most welcome to attend any meeting to see if the group is right for them.

Each meeting starts promptly at 10:00 am but everybody is asked to arrive by 9.45 am at the latest so that administrative tasks can be carried out beforehand.
