Here’s Mathew Hatcher - Mayor Eurobodalla Shire putting today’s nineteen minute Council Meeting on the record.
"Unanimous councillor support for the Mayor’s recommendation that Council object strongly to the removal of subsidies for the Emergency Services Levy, costing councils around the state millions of dollars they cannot afford.
Support for advocacy to the NSW Government to fund the role of local emergency management officers in councils across the state.
Council’s work plan for the year endorsed for public exhibition and we want community feedback. Crucial to this work plan and those in future years is an understanding of Council’s financial challenges. We’ll be heading to Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma later this month to share this information with the community".

Editors Note:
The Mayor's choice of album by his record player is Ed Sherrin's Subtract.
Given that the meeting today went for a whopping nineteen minutes I suggest those who might want to watch how most of your councillors performed watch the following video instead.
