Mayor asks Transport NSW to prioritise pothole repairs on the highway

Eurobodalla Council has contacted Transport for NSW this morning, calling for pothole repairs on the highway to be prioritised.

Mayor Mathew Hatcher said Council’s director of infrastructure Warren Sharpe spoke with Transport for NSW representatives early today about the state of the highway in Eurobodalla.

“We’ve asked Transport for NSW to prioritise pothole repairs on the highway in our shire, and I’m confident they’ll act,” the Mayor said.

“I understand resources are stretched and the weather difficult, but vehicles are being damaged and residents are avoiding travel. One week out from Easter, we need action.”

The Mayor thanked locals alerting others to pothole locations.

“Let’s keep that information sharing going,” he said, “and please slow down and take extra care on the roads while repairs get underway.”

Council crews continue repairs to local roads, prioritising arterial roads like George Bass Drive and Beach Road.
