Volunteers on board Marine Rescue NSW vessels XRAY 30 (Eden) and Merimbula 31 are returning to their respective bases following a successful conclusion to the multi-agency search for a missing diver off Lennards Island on the far South Coast.

The diver was located safe on rocks by members of the multi-agency search around 9am this morning.

Marine Rescue NSW crews on board XRAY 30 and MB 31 resumed the search at 8am this morning.

Marine Rescue NSW Inspector Glenn Sullivan said it was a wonderful outcome.

“It was an amazing effort from all rescuers involved in this search which began yesterday afternoon.

Marine Rescue NSW is a volunteer based not-for-profit professional organisation dedicated to keeping boaters safe on the water and supporting local communities.
