Marine Rescue Batemans Bay rescues Dec 7th

Volunteers from Marine Rescue Batemans Bay have rescued four people on a runabout broken down on the Clyde River and a yacht stranded near the Tollgate Islands this afternoon.

The crew of rescue vessel Batemans 20 was returning two people on the disabled runabout to the Nelligen boat ramp when a call for help came from the skipper of the yacht, which had a mechanical failure.

Rescue vessel Batemans 30 has responded offshore to return the yacht, which had Logged On with MRNSW, to safety.

Thanks to volunteers David Murn, Rod Ingamells, Richard Blundell and John Clements for their rapid responses.
