Limits return to toilet paper

Coles and Woolworths supermarkets are reintroducing toilet paper limits nationwide in an effort to curb a surge in panic buying.

Woolworths have advised that customers would be allowed to buy two packets of toilet paper and two packets of paper towels nationwide saying the move was precautionary due to the fact that they have started to see elevated demand for toilet roll move outside Victoria in the past 24 hours. Coles and Woolworths say the intention in limits is to take preventative action now and get ahead of any excessive buying this weekend and help maintain social distancing in stores.
