Jim Palmer Trophy Day

One hundred and twenty four vets players took to the Catalina course on Thursday 11th May to contest the 29th running of the Jim Palmer Trophy.

Jim was the Vets Publicity Officer from July 1989 until his passing in late 1991. His partner (and dancing partner) of many years was Heather Smith and she donated a trophy in Jim’s name to perpetually reside in the club.

The inaugural Winner in 1995 was Ken Munday and this year Ray Fazakerley took out the trophy with a score of 23 Stableford points for the nine holes.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
