Club Malua Women's Bowls Report

Bowls Organiser David Thomas welcomed 45 ladies on Tuesday, bowling in 1 Pairs and 6 Triples matches. Also welcomed was Club Director Denis Beavan who announced that Club Malua has been successful in receiving a Grant from Bushfire Recovery to purchase a generator. When the new club is in operation it will have the capacity to become a recovery centre in case of any disasters that may occur.

Winners on Rink 3, Joan Rimmer and Karen Signor, well done ladies, great game. Runners-up, Rink 9, Wendy Geary , Tania Calder and Sue Morgan.


Rink 10 was selected to try for Jackpot, unfortunately no luck with number 8 Other winners , Carol Dutkiewicz as swinging Lead, Judy Davis and Ellie Crompton. Colleen Ashby, Helen Rees and Julie Lewis. Bev McKague, Gay Biggs, Sue Beavan. Gloria Harper, Lyn Hardy, Nancy White. Tricia Wheeler, Pat Weekes, Jenny Blyth. Money Club winners, Wendy Geary and Paula Hancock.


Round 1 of Consistency Singles will be played on Tuesday 1st March. David Thomas announced all men and lady members have now been graded.
