Can you help?

SuRF Microgrid Project are looking for research participants for their projects in Tuross Head and Nelligen. Ciska White of the SuRF Microgrid Project says "We are conducting research to understand the energy needs of people in these communities and to explore possible solutions for energy supply to these areas.

"We already have a lot of interest, but to ensure that a broad range of residents have a voice in these communities and that any potential community energy solutions can meet the needs of the broader community, we are particularly looking for:

· Younger participants (18 – 40), with or without dependents

· Single people, with or without dependents

· Residents who are renting

· Non-resident home owners (holiday home owners)

· Households with no rooftop solar

· Residents with limited knowledge of energy systems and supply

"If you think you might be interested in being involved, particularly if you belong to any of these groups, please get in touch in April. "We are looking for people to attend workshops (we will provide payments to recognise your time) or to have an energy recording device attached to your meter box for a period of time (you will have access to the data and it may also help you to find the best energy plan for your household).

We would love to hear from you!!" You can contact Ciska White at ciska.white@anu.edu.au
