Breathing Apparatus Refresher for Bay fire fighters

Fire and Rescue NSW Station 217 Batemans Bay ask: "Have you seen the big semi in the area recently?

"This truck is set up with furniture to mimic a situation where crews are required to navigate through a building searching for victims who require rescuing.

"Annually our crew undertake a breathing apparatus refresher to ensure our skills are maintained and stay up to date. Crews in full structural firefighting uniform as well as breathing apparatus and a hose line practised hose handling, radio communications, search techniques in zero visibility, casualty removal as well as training on dual cylinder manifolds.

"It was a great refresher for all firefighters who completed the task with no issues at all. A huge thank you to the team at Fire and Rescue NSW BA Hazmat for bringing the truck down and training our crews!"
