Boomerang Meeting Place takes delivery of community van

One of the many faces behind the South Coast Donations Logistic Team, Mat Hatcher, said: "So proud today to see this 14 seater mini van donated to the Boomerang Meeting Place in Mogo. "Huge thanks to Chris and all the guys at the Dural Mens Shed. They have done amazing work for the Eurobodalla and Bega Valley over the past two years. And to Ralph Lindsey, you sir are what I driver to be daily. Huge thanks to Roze Kolbe for all you do without anyone knowing. The support in this community is amazing and this job isn’t done. "I met Ralph during the bushfires when he reached out to me via text message after he saw me on TV. He was raising goods just on noticeboards on Facebook in Sydney and shipping goods to me. He then partnered up with the Dural Mens shed and was the middleman getting anything we needed for this region. His continued work tirelessly alongside the Dural Mens shed getting kitchens, bathrooms, tiles and any tools that we need to help rebuild the region.

"Krys from local business “Your Removalist” has helped the whole time moving goods from Sydney down to the south coast. I’m still working closely with Ralph on certain cases and families that require extra attention or have been left behind. That’s when Dural Mens shed contacted Ralph and offered the minibus as a donation to the boomerang centre. They are an amazing organisation who have supported SoCoDoLo and this community so much.

"Now we need sponsors to keep this van on the road each year for no cost. So please reach out to us if you’d like to take an advertising spot on the side of the bus. It will benefit the Boomerang Centre as well as Mogo Primary." South Coast Donations Logistic Team is a local volunteer group that supports people and businesses affected by the NSW South Coast bushfires. They connect people in need with donated goods with the bigger goal of helping to rebuild the community.

"Well the power of social media for good! Less than 24 hours we have had an overwhelming response to the call out for sponsorship. Thanks to those businesses who contacted me immediately to jump on board. As a community we are stronger together. We have fully funded the donated minibus to be on the road to help the Boomerang Centre and Mogo Primary. We will be announcing all those businesses soon and please make sure you support local businesses that support you. Keeping money circulating in the local economy is crucial."
