Batemans Bay Community Centre given a reprieve: New mental health jobs for the region
The Beagle has been advised that the Batemans Bay Community Centre will NOT BE leased for the the new Batemans Bay headspace facility as advised by Council in their communications with the many groups and users of the facility. Instead the new, and very welcomed headspace premises will be located with easy access within the CBD. It is understood that the Council has now been advised.
This is terrific news for the community who feared losing their community centre by council's decision to lease the much used facility.
headspace provides 12-25 year olds mental health, alcohol and other drug, employment, study and physical health services and support, as well as providing information for young people and their families and friends.
