Artificial reef for Moruya expected to arrive soon

The Eurobodalla (Batemans) offshore artificial reef project is to be installed soon

The two steel reef modules comprised of bases of 13 x 13 metres and heights of 12 metres are currently alongside one of the docks at Glebe Island in Sydney Harbour.

Final preparations are under way and the contractor will make the 50 hour tow with the first reef module to the reef location 3.5km north-east of Moruya during the next available weather window which should be next week.

DPI Fisheries inspected the reef modules last week and they are very impressive.

Channel 9 News ran a story on the reef on Sunday night which you may be interested in www.facebook.com/9NewsSydney/videos/1041930746626813/
