Broulee Runners Wed June 21st

The winter solstice attracted 43 starters in perfect conditions for the event.

We welcomed Danny White to his first run and he did a creditable time of 10.29 over the 2 kilometres distance.

He is making a comeback to athletics and it is expected that he will make rapid improvement.

Personal best times were recorded by Riley Beby, Simone Elliott, Amy White, Meg Phillips, Julianne Domeny, Susan Pettit, Tom Wells, Sandra Lunn, Julie Wilks and Mary Anderson.

The outstanding athlete of the first part of the year is Morgan Pettit.

His first run was back in February and he recorded a time of 28.32 over the 5 kilometres distance.

Since that time, he has reduced that time little by little to now have a best time of 23.44.

He is a regular starter in the Batemans Bay park run and he has whittled seconds off his time on a regular basis.

He is a role model for anyone wanting to achieve by putting in hard work. He is affectionately known amongst the runners as PB MORGAN.
