Local Police update - Jan 24th


BATEMANS BAY Between 1pm Saturday 21 January 2017 and 6pm on Sunday 22 January 2017, a silver coloured Mercedes sedan was stolen from a residential property in Edward Road, Batehaven. Police have taken a report through the police assistance line.

A 55 year old man was swimming at Myrtle Beach South Durras on Saturday afternoon 21 January 2016. Unknown person/s has stolen from the beach his backpack including a wallet, car keys and mobile phone.

A good samaritan drove him to a phone to call police.

About 5:20pm police attended the scene. Police used the "find my phone ap" to locate the victims phone in bush land near the beach. No other property was recovered.

A tow truck was required to tow the man’s vehicle to his residence in Manyana.

Investigations are continuing.

MORUYA

Around 2:15pm on Friday 20 January 2017, a surf board was stolen from a display rack outside a shop in Coronation Drive, Broulee. A person took the board and placed it into a silver hatchback vehicle and drove off. The board is valued at $650.

After local community publicity through the surf club and social media, the board was returned anonymously to the shop around 5pm Sunday 23 January 2017. Source
