A double standard that irks

The Beagle Editor,

It’s disappointing our politicians who at election time plead with voters of the country including at local levels to elect them, remember they volunteer to take on the responsibility that goes with elected office. They get elected and then completely change personality's from wanting to be representatives of communities to become dictators of communities, often making decisions and rules, without consultation, that are detrimental to a large number of the voting population, who provide them with incomes and lifestyles they’ve only ever dreamt of before being elected . They never seem to support a reduction in their salary’s – remunerations, etc. And what about their taxpayer funded pensions, no they don’t touch them do they. They just continue at compounding nationally unaffordable amounts. So they retain their fortunate lifestyles and they all agree to screw those who had faith and believed their election propagandas. Are we all putting up with a morally corrupt process?
