2019 STARS OF Eurobodalla Dance for Cancer

Cancer Council announces Eurobodalla local personalities to dance in the 2019 STARS OF Eurobodalla Dance for Cancer

Cancer Council NSW have officially launched the fourth annual Stars of Eurobodalla Dance for Cancer gala.

Set to be staged on Saturday 10th August at the Batemans Bay Soldier’s Club. Stars of Eurobodalla will challenge local celebrities and community leaders to step out of their comfort zones, learn a dance routine, and perform it live in front of an audience of more than 400 people, all while raising funds for a cancer free future.

At the launch event, our Eurobodalla local Stars were randomly assigned a dance genre to learn and perform at the gala night.

Those strapping on their dance shoes to dance for cancer include:

Jennifer Constance from Coastal Décor,

Claudia Ferguson from Catalano Media,

Lauren Hare and Leanne Piper from the Eurobodalla Cancer Care Centre,

Myrna Radin from the Batemans Bay Soldier’s Club,

Peggy McAlister from Raine and Horne Batemans Bay,

Anna Betts from Skin Deep Beauty,

Larissa Sethi from Andrei’s Gymnastics,

Garry Griffith from GBG Plastering and

Jennifer Hake from Sober Bob Driver’s.

Ten participants are set to begin their training and continue for the next twelve weeks, working towards reaching their fundraising targets.

Caitlyn Zalewski, Community Relations Coordinator at Cancer Council’s Far South Coast office said she is excited to see what this year’s line-up of Stars have in store.

“2019 marks the fourth year of Stars of the Eurobodalla, during this time, the community has raised over $92,000 for local Cancer Council initiatives.

“Funds raised help support Cancer Council’s life-saving cancer research, prevention, advocacy and local support programs like Transport to treatment for people affected by cancer,” said Mrs Zalewski
