At a time when rainfall has been markedly low over Eurobodalla’s catchment and temperatures higher than average in some places, National Water Week is an opportunity for residents to celebrate our most precious natural resource.
Council staff will be on deck at the stall with information about how Council manages and harvests water, and tips for saving water in the home and garden.
An interactive catchment model will be on display, demonstrating how water flows through the catchment and showing the relationship between activities on land and how they affect Eurobodalla’s water supply.
There will also be information about making gardens more water-wise and bush-friendly.

Council will also be working with local schools during National Water Week to help them save water, including taking on the shorter shower challenge and excursions to Council’s Northern Water Treatment Plant.
National Water Week is a timely reminder that water saving practices can save residents money and help ensure a reliable drinking water supply into the future.
Council last week asked residents to consider their water use as the hot dry weather continues, warning that water restrictions could be on the cards if decent rain doesn’t come soon.
