Member for Bega Andrew Constance has announced that $27,500 will be invested in the Eurobodalla River of Art Festival through the NSW Government’s 2017 Flagship Event Fund.
Mr Constance said he was he delighted that the River of Art in the Eurobodalla will benefit from the triennial funding of $27,500 allocated through the Flagship Event Fund.
“The Flagship Event Fund is a terrific NSW Government initiative and part of our renewed commitment to boost regional economies through tourism and major events,” Mr Constance said.
“This is a fantastic festival, showcasing our amazing region and I am pleased that the event has received this funding.
“Events play a fundamental role in attracting new and returning visitors to our regional towns, bringing with them additional business to restaurants and cafes, local tourism operators, attractions and accommodation providers.
“The Flagship Event Fund represents Regional NSW at its best, with local communities coming together to stage events that showcase the unique character, culture and attributes of their region. I encourage everyone to start planning a holiday to the South Coast to experience these fantastic regional events.”
The 2017 Flagship Event Fund is managed by the State’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
