Entries CLOSE THIS FRIDAY for Eurobodalla Shire Council’s Youth Underground photography competition.
Part of Youth Week 2017, the competition provides a platform for young photographers to share their best images with the community and be recognised for their talents.
Council’s Youth Coordinator Zoe Morgan said she looked forward to seeing the diverse talents of Eurobodalla’s young people.
“We ran a very successful inaugural Underground competition last year that had some amazing photographs, so we’re really excited to see this year’s entries,” she said.
“The images can be focused on any subject matter, but we are particularly interested in those that showcase Eurobodalla’s beautiful locations, including our natural environment, tourism attractions and culture and heritage.
“We have more than $1000 in cash prizes up for grabs, so we encourage all budding photographers to get out there and show us what you’ve got.”
Judging is divided into two categories; junior, for ages 11-14 and youth, for ages 15-24. There will also be an overall People’s Choice Award.
Entries close Friday 10 March 2017 at 5pm.
An exhibition of the entries will be held at the Mechanics Institute in Moruya during Youth Week on 1 and 2 April, opening at 10am.
